Handmade notes

Our pieces are handcrafted, which means you may notice small variations in color, weave, texture, shape, or finishing details. These variations are not defects—they are natural characteristics of artisan work and help make each item one-of-a-kind.

Natural materials may evolve slightly over time (softening, subtle color change, minor movement of fibers). This is normal.

Cleaning (general)

• For daily care, dust with a soft, dry cloth.
• For marks, use a slightly damp cloth with a small amount of mild soap, then wipe dry.
• Avoid abrasive sponges, harsh chemicals, bleach, vinegar, or strong degreasers.
• Do not soak natural-fiber items in water and do not machine wash.

Tip: Always test cleaning on a small, hidden area first.

Natural fibers (woven decor)

Natural fibers are durable, but they need gentle care to preserve shape and finish.

• Keep away from prolonged humidity and direct water exposure.
• Avoid long, direct sunlight exposure to reduce natural fading.
• Dust regularly; for deeper cleaning, use a soft brush or vacuum with a brush attachment on low power.
• If the item becomes slightly misshapen, reshape gently by hand and let it rest in a dry place.

Storage tip: avoid plastic bags. Use breathable cotton bags or store on a dry shelf.

Ceramic / glass (if applicable)

If your Tillila piece is ceramic or glass, please follow these recommendations:

• Hand-washing is recommended to preserve the finish.
• Avoid thermal shock (do not pour very cold liquid into a very hot item).
• Do not use chipped or cracked items for food or hot drinks.
• If the item has painted or decorative details, avoid abrasive cleaners.

Note: If the product description specifies “decorative use only”, it is not intended for food contact.

Storage

• Store in a dry, ventilated area.
• Avoid stacking heavy objects on top of woven items.
• Keep away from heat sources (radiators, fireplaces) to prevent drying or deformation.

Safety

• Keep away from open flames and strong heat sources.
• Decor items are not toys—keep out of reach of small children where appropriate.
• Always follow the intended use described on the product page.
